UMPIRE REGISTRATION

The OASA has several levels of umpires. These are as follows:

REGISTERED - May call local leagues and local invitational tournaments. Pay $50.00 get card and insurance in ASA play.

CERTIFIED - May call district, state, regional and national tournaments as well as local leagues and tournaments. They must attend a certification clinic each year and pass the certification test.

MASTER - Must be certified and umpire in championship play for five years to be eligible. They must be recommended to the master clinic (occurs in even years) by two state staff members. Must attend a certification clinic during odd years.

SENIOR - Must be a Master for five years. Must be recommended by the State UIC and the State Commissioner.

An umpire can register to become an umpire by filling out the following form and passing the ASA umpire's test. The form with $50.00 plus $10.00 S&H can be sent to Ron, and Ron will send you the test to be completed. If you want to attend a certification clinic, check the Clinics page.
