Girl's Fast Pitch: Classification
Classification Tournaments will be held to classify teams to the A, B, and C State Tournaments in Fast Pitch 10's -- 12's -- 14's. Classification Tournaments to be held June 9 - 11, 2006. See Championship Schedule for Qualifier Details
Entry Fee of $200.00 For ALL GFP Classification Tournaments
Dress Code - Uniform tops with Arabic number (6" minimum)

GFP 10's -- 12's -- 14's

A team may not enter this tournament without playing in Classification Play. (Exception is playing in a National Qualifier on the same date as the date of the State Classification Tournament)

STATE TOURNAMENT
A team enters this tournament directly without benefit of classification play. Players must dress in like shirts and wear helmets. Entry fee to GFP 16-Under, GFP 18-Under, GSP 10-Under, GSP 12-Under, GSP 14-Under, GSP 16-Under, and GSP 18-Under is $250.00; and Girls Coach Pitch 8-Under and Girls Machine Pitch 8-Under & 10-Under is $200.00 in the form of a CASHIER'S CHECK OR MONEY ORDER ONLY MADE PAYABLE TO OKLAHOMA ASA.
GFP B & C STATE TOURNAMENTS
Any team that plays in the Classification Tournament and does not qualify to advance to the Class A State may play in these tournament. All ASA rules will be followed except for the dress code which will be the same as Classification Tournament. Teams MAY advance to Class B Regional. STATE TOURNAMENT Entry fee of $225.00 for Fast Pitch
Team Banners displaying other association logos are not permitted. Those banners cannot be displayed during Classification and State Championship tournament play. Other association logos are also not permitted on uniforms worn at these tournaments.
GIRLS FAST PITCH 10-12-14 CLASSIFICATION
THE ASA RULE BOOK WILL BE FOLLOWED WITH THE FOLLOWING EXCEPTIONS:
Time limit: 1 hour and 30 minutes
No new inning after 1 hour 20 minutes
Dress Code: Oklahoma ASA Dress Code
The int’l tie breaker rule will be used starting in the top of the 8th inning-fast pitch only

STATE TOURNAMENT

Time limit: 7 innings or 1 hour and 30 minutes
Dress Code: Like Shirts
No infield fly rule.
7 runs or 3 outs per inning. Unlimited runs final inning.
Run Rule: 12 after 3 10 after 4 8 after 5
ALL PLAYERS CAN BE PUT IN THE BATTING ORDER AND THE SAME BATTING ROTATION WILL REMAIN FOR THE WHOLE GAME. EXCEPTION TO THIS RULE WILL BE FOR AN INJURY SITUATION. IF A PLAYER BECOMES INJURED AND NO LONGER CAN PARTICIPATE IN THE REST OF THE GAME, THEN THE PLAYER CAN BE REMOVED FROM THE BATTING ORDER WITHOUT PENALTY. THIS PLAYER CANNOT RETURN ON OFFENSE OR DEFENSE IN THAT GAME. ALL SUBSTITUTIONS OR LINE-UP CHANGES ARE TO BE REPORTED TO THE HOME PLATE UMPIRE.
Must use official A.S.A. bat.
Class "C" teams may petition to go to Class "B" Regionals

STATE TOURNAMENT
GIRLS 8-U COACH PITCH STATE TOURNAMENT RULES
The defensive position pitching player must stay behind an arc line which is drawn at 35 feet from home plate. Only one player may be in the pitching position. All four outfielders must play behind the infielders.
First Overthrow: Runners may advance with liability to be put out
Fair Territory Base going to +1
Foul Territory Base going to +1
Put runner back if not put out if advances pass + 1
There will no appeal plays. Umpires will make all appeal play calls. Time out will be called by the umpire when play has ceased.
****NO INFIELD FLY RULE****
Batter will receive only 5 pitches. No strikes and balls will be called. If 5th pitch is hit foul, batter is out.
Batter must wear a NOCSAE approved helmet with chin strap and NOCSAE approved face mask. Must use official A.S.A. softball bat.
Base distance of 55 ft. - fence distance of 150-175 ft.
ALL PLAYERS ON EACH TEAM MUST BE PLACED IN THE BATTING ORDER and bat in the same rotation except for an injury situation. If a player becomes injured and no longer can participate in the rest of the game, the player can be removed from the batting order without penalty. Coach may remove player from lineup, if injured before player becomes the on deck batter without penalty. This player cannot return on offense or defense in that game.
Free substitutions on defense. Players may re-enter the game more than one time. When a player enters as a substitute, she must stay in for a minimum of one inning.
Exception - injury.
Time limit:
6 innings or 1 hour and 30 minutes
7 runs or 3 outs per inning
Unlimited runs in the final inning
ANY INNING STARTED AFTER 1 HOUR 15 MINUTES OF PLAY IS THE FINAL INNING

Dress Code: All shirts must be alike. If a hat is worn, it must be worn properly.

8-UNDER MACHINE PITCH STATE TOURNAMENT RULES
TIME LIMITS: 1 hour and 30 minutes or 6 innings
RUN LIMIT: 5 runs per inning except beginning the 5th inning – 10 runs allowed
DEFENSIVE PLAYERS: 6 infielders, 3 outfielders, Pitcher starts even or behind the machine
BATTING:
All roster players present at the game shall bat in order whether playing defensively or not.
NOCSAE approved batting helmets with chin straps and NOCSAE approved face masks required for on deck batter, batter and base runners.
If batted ball hits the machine, ball is dead; runners may advance ONE BASE ONLY, IF FORCED.
Each batter will be allowed 5 pitches. Batter is not out if they continue to foul off the 5th and succeeding pitches.
BASERUNNER:
No stealing (base runners may advance only on batted ball)
Base runners may lead off after the ball leaves the pitching machine
No infield fly rule.
COACHES:
OFFENSE: 1 coach at machine, 1 base coach at first, and 1 at third.
PENALTY: Ejection of machine coach if he/she coaches the base runners. Machine coach may coach the batter only.
DUGOUTS:
All coaches, players and team members must be in the dugout except when required to be on the playing field.
PITCHING MACHINE: 35 MPH
PITCHING DISTANCE: 35 feet
SOFTBALL:
Worth 11 inch Optic Yellow
State provides 2 softballs per team
OVERTHROWS:
Runners may not advance from third to home on a pitched ball.
Advance one base only on the first over-throw.
Base going to plus the next base with the liability to be put out.
BASE LENGTH: 55 feet
